New Outdoor Learning Space Complete Thanks To Grant

Our College was blessed to receive a 2024 Woolworths Junior Landcare Grant, which we put to good use on our new outdoor learning space - The Forest.

This new space, inspired by Indigenous yarning circles, is located amongst several years’ worth of student tree planting efforts near our campus' future oval. It will be utilised as an outdoor learning environment that enables inclusive, thoughtful and respectful discussion, shaped by Indigenous cultural practices.

Under the guidance of Mr Cebergs and Mrs Cunningham, our Year 9 Hands on Learning class were instrumental in constructing the circle alongside our fantastic Facilities team. With construction now complete, we look forward to utilising this new learning space in the near future, and watching as the forest of trees grows up around it.

GLC Armstrong Creek wishes to thank Woolworths and Junior Landcare for providing the funding necessary to bring this project to fruition.
