Celebrating Christmas

With the school year coming to a close, there were opportunities at both campuses to get into the Christmas Spirit.

The Plaza at the St John's Newtown campus was full of Christmas cheer on Thursday 21 November with an incredible evening of festive songs, costumes and dance for the campus’ biennial Christmas Celebration. Each class put together a dance to a popular Christmas song that got everyone in the audience into the Christmas spirit, as well as remembering the true meaning of the season, the birth of Jesus. A big well done to every class for their outstanding performances, as well as the choir, orchestra and dancers.

Then on Monday 25 November, it was the Armstrong Creek campus’ turn to put on a Christmas music concert in Dhurrung. Our Year 3 Strings Program students took to the stage to showcase the knowledge they had gained over the semester, and in reflecting the upcoming Advent season, our (Prep, Year 1 & 2, Year 3-6 and Secondary) choirs sang a number of Christmas songs, concluding with all students coming together for a final Christmas number.

With students now on holidays, we wish all our Geelong Lutheran College students and families a blessed Christmas and a safe and happy summer break.
