Celebrating 10 Years since the Class of 2014

Ten years gone in a blink of the eye.

On Friday 1 November, we held our Connect alumni event in the Ngarrwa building at the GLC Armstrong Creek Campus. Making use of the College’s newest building wasn’t the only new feature of the annual event – we also celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the first ever Year 12 graduates from Geelong Lutheran College!

It was fantastic to welcome four of the ten graduates back to GLC for this evening, where they caught up with some of their former teachers, heard a video message from Mrs Tattersall, cut a special anniversary cake and undertook a tour of the campus with Ms Ellis, where they saw just how much has changed since they last left our gates in 2014. School Co-Captain from 2014 Erin also gave a fantastic speech, where she shared memories of her and her fellow classmates time at GLC.

While there was a lot of attention on the Class of 2014, this event was also open to alumni from both campuses from all years, as well as former staff. It was great to have so many year levels represented, including a strong turnout from the GLC Armstrong Creek Class of 2023.

Thank you to all alumni, current and former staff who attended, and to Mr Dinse and a handful of current GLC Armstrong Creek students for providing background music for the evening. We look forward to welcoming back our alumni community for next year’s event in late October/early November where we will celebrate the Class of 2015’s 10-year anniversary.

If you are a GLC alumni and would like to keep up-to-date with GLC, please email marketing@glc.vic.edu.au with your name and graduating year to be added to our mailing list.
