Welcome back to Term 2.
We were certainly blessed with some amazing weather over Easter and the ANZAC long weekend. It was just wonderful to be able to reflect on the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus at Easter and to collectively commemorate ANZAC Day after a two-year hiatus. I trust you found time to stop and acknowledge the wonderful service and sacrifice of our servicemen and women.
There was a definite buzz in the air on the morning of 27 April as the students arrived, catching up with friends and sharing about their holiday adventures and experiences. Travel is certainly back from the stories shared!
A special thanks to our Parents & Friends group who coordinated the sausage sizzle in the last week of Term 1 at the AC Campus. It was a resounding success, and we look forward to continuing planning for valued additions to the College with the funds raised. Thank you so much to the fantastic P&F team. New members are always welcome!
This week, we have again welcomed new families who are seeking positions for their children at GLC in 2023 and beyond. It is always a genuine pleasure to meet with families who seek a Christian learning environment for their children to grow in.
From the beginning of Week 3, I will be attending the National Lutheran Principal’s Conference to be held in Hahndorf, South Australia. Following this three-day conference, I will be taking long service leave until the end of Term 2. SJ Head of Primary Stephen Illingworth, AC Head of Primary Mrs Vicki Schilling, AC Head of Secondary Mrs Sharlene Tattersall or Head of College Ms Jill Lange-Mohr will be available in my absence.
Blessings for the term
