Our senior students were privileged to take part in a short seminar conducted by Offspring, a Geelong-based not-for-profit organisation responding to the injustices of human trafficking in Kolkata, India. It is widely agreed that the sexual exploitation of women and children is the fastest growing criminal enterprise in the world! Offspring made clear its vision for our event: “We see people in prosperous nations, like Australia, being made aware of the horror and injustice brought about by human trafficking, and inspired to be a part of the solution.”
Led by Kristi, founder and CEO, every member of Offspring is passionate about challenging others to believe that they ‘can do something'. As part of the event, the key leaders not only inspired our student body, but also challenged and imparted ways in which the students could make a difference.
