21 July 2021
NAIDOC Week fell over the second part of the school holidays, however we thought it was too important an occasion to let pass without recognition. NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to observe the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is remembered not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The Armstrong Creek staff were privileged to hear a NAIDOC Week tribute at staff devotions from Mrs Jackson. It's hoped that her presentation will inspire our staff and student body to better understand, appreciate and support our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
