This role is responsible for nurturing a positive, professional, and connected staff culture by overseeing all aspects of the staff experience—from induction and professional growth to wellbeing and performance support. The Director of Staff & Logistics (Secondary) plays a vital part in ensuring that our College remains a supportive and thriving workplace for all team members.
Commencing in January 2026.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Lead the induction, development, and appraisal processes for Secondary staff
- Support staff wellbeing and performance, offering timely guidance and care
- Oversee staffing and timetable leadership, including:
- Timetable construction and allocation
- Daily coverage and replacements
- Compliance with staffing regulations and policies
- Coordinate professional learning opportunities that promote growth and collaboration
- Support the organisation of key events and staff logistics
- Manage staff-related communications and engagement, recognising contributions and building morale

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and skilled Administrative Assistant to join our administration team at St John's Newtown on a short-term contract. Ideally, applicants will have experience in a school environment.
Contract Dates:
Start: Thursday 4 September 2025
End: Tuesday 21 October 2025
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 4.00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Front reception duties, including welcoming visitors and answering calls
- Responding to enrolment enquiries
- General administrative tasks and support across various departments
Key Requirements:
- Proficiency in Office 365
- Strong knowledge of office procedures and systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly over the phone
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- High level of organisation and attention to detail
